Mothers Day!

Best Mommy Hug!
MOthers Day!

Future Bar Tender
LOVING the beach!
Gus Fries, what could be better!

We had a wonderful Mothers Day weekend in Rehoboth. The weather was actually HOT on the beach on Saturday and then a cold front came thru but it was beautiful. My two requests on MOthers Day were to have oysters and to take Kali to the beach to swim. I got both of them. We got to share most of the day with my mom as well and had a great time. Here are a few pics from our weekend! I couldn't be a happier mom!!
Just had to post this funny video of Hadley on her first "ride" at the beach. NOT a fan. This was outside Gus and Gus.

Success!

Hads in her little gown near the playhouse in preop.
Mom in the marshmallow suit and Hads before we went back to surgery.

After a stressful, long hard day...we all survived Hadley's first "surgery". That is what they called it, but I called it a "procedure". Even though I work in medicine was so hard to think of my little baby as having to have a surgery already. She did GREAT! We now have ear tubes that were put in by one of the top pediatric ENT's in the world. It will make her life so much better. Hopefully no more ear infections! Hadley did MUCH better than mom did. I was a bit of a mess but got myself together. Hopkins had a great waiting and preop area so she was quite entertained. She did SOOO much better than I expected since she woke up at 7 and wasn't allowed to eat or drink before her surgery. She was taken back into the OR ( I went too) at 11:15. She was a trooper. Doing very very well today just having a bit of coughing in her sleep tonight. Here are a few pics we took with our phones....SO glad today is about over.

Spring...

Hadley and Shea eating lunch at our house.

We have had quite a busy spring and I am terrible about keeping up on the blog. I PROMISE to be better because I LOVE looking at all the other blogs. Hadley is doing great. We have had some more terrible ear infections so we are actually getting tubes put in tomorrow. I as her mommy am NOT excited about her being put to sleep but she is seeing one of the top pediatric ENT docs in the world here at Hopkins so that makes me feel good and apparently they only take 15 mins. Thank you to those of you that have given me advice and tips! I only hear good things about them. Another big change is we started with our new nanny yesterday! SO FAR SO GOOD! Her name is Megan and she is great. We are sharing part time with our nextdoor neighbor and their daughter is Shea. Shea and Hadley are two weeks apart in age so it will work out well. Megan sent me a picture today of lunchtime and it was apparently going very well. She made them grilled cheeses. I have posted the pic. I have to upload MANY more pics from my cameras so I can post more. This weekend we will head to REhoboth for MOthers Day. No plans in particular, just getting in our beach time before the renters come in. Price's mom was in town visiting us this past weekend adn we had a great visit. She helped me plant my thousands of flowers from Amish Country all day on Saturday. WE were dirty, sweaty and tired but everything looks awesome! Thanks Gami!
