Merry Christmas!

16.5 Weeks Pregnant

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas. I can't believe its already over, and Hadley can't either. We drove down to NOVA and spent Christmas Eve in Vienna with the Brown's and then drove out to Ashburn after gifts Christmas morning to spend the rest of Christmas with the Bookers. Hadley was VERY into presents this year and loved everything. I think her favorites were the baby doll backpack, the riding luggage (Trunki), the pink castle from Gami and then the purse that Aunt Joanie got her with a fake wallet. She takes the money out over and over again. She loved everything but these are the things she seems to be playing with the most. She is NOW into her ZuZu pet that Pop Pop got her but it took a few days of being terrorized by it first. Now she will actually touch it and not run and jump into your arms. Truth is she has been playing with most everything and it has definitely kept her occupied having all the new stuff around. I have posted a few pictures from our festivities and my 16.5 week prego belly. MUCH bigger this time around.

Happy Holidays.

So we found out this week that Baby#2 is going to be a boy! We are very excited about this news. We have another sonogram at 20 weeks to verify, but it was pretty clear! Now we will try to enjoy this last Christmas as a family of 3 and look forward to the ones to come. Here is a video of Hadley singing.

Our family has been VERY busy lately with lots of exciting, and not exciting stuff going on. THe NOT exciting stuff is my current job situation. Found out that we did not get some funding for my position so I will be leaving Hopkins as of Dec. 31st unless something else comes up. I have been interviewing all over the place as well as consulting. I have currently set up 2 good consulting contracts and working on the 3rd now. I love doing that but it doesn't give us health insurance which for us is a big deal. Especially now since we are expecting Baby #2 .Timing between the kids will be great, but timing job wise is not. We will figure it all out. I am 15 weeks pregnant this week. We have a sonogram next week and they said they might be able to tell us what we are having.
We had a great Thanksgiving and hosted family at our house. Had a nice big group. December is flying by. We got our tree the first weekend and Hadley loved decorating the tree. Last weekend we went to Rehoboth with The Riebesehl's and their new baby Will to cheer on Mark in the Rehoboth Marathon. He did great! It was a chilly weekend though. We took Hadley and Will to see Santa on the boardwalk on Sunday. Will was fine (as he would be at 8 weeks old) Hadley not so much. She was saying, No Santa, No Santa and I had to sit with her for the photo shoot. Overall its been a good busy month. Just keep your fingers crossed that I land the perfect job in the next few weeks.

A few videos

Here are two videos from this weekend. Hadley LOVES wearing our shoes around and then today we bought a Barbie Trail Rider at a yard sale for $15 and so far its a hit! HILARIOUS! Gotta love the burbs.

Where have the years gone?? We had a small get together at our new house for Hadley's birthday. It was a big success. We did have SOOOO many presents so with the timing of year, I did put a few things away for Christmas. Don't tell her later in life. All she asked for for her birthday was a blue cake and a blue necklace. Uncle Joe made her a blue necklace and my mom and I constructed a blue M&M cake since she is obsessed with MMs (how she says it). I think her favorite gift of that particular day was the fake makeup that her Gami gave her. She has been putting on makeup all week (its not real) and even brought the fake hairdryer to the pediatrician for her 2 year apt last Tuesday. She is a whopping 29 lbs, 36 inches tall which both make her in the 75%. The pediatrican said that their measurements at their two year apointment is the best determinant of adult height and they are predicting she will be 5'9 or 5'10. I can't even believe so we will just have to see. That seems crazy! So we will see. This weekend we are just relaxing. Our friends babysat her last night while Price and I went to dinner for my birthday. It was great to get out for a few hours.

So here we are, already into November. Hadley is turning 2 this weekend and I haven't posted on the blog in ages. We have been busy busy with all sorts of fun fall activities. I have posted some pictures from our last two months. Hadley has already entered the terrible two's and is the cutest, most lovable person in the world, and can quickly turn into someone that I am not sure I know who she is. Tantrums, insisting on ONLY wearing the "blue coat" (which fit her last winter), the blue shoes (which she doesn't own), ONLY eating with the "blue spoon", and so it goes. Not sure where this blue obsession came from maybe we will call this her "blue period". Anyway...I will post again after her birthday this weekend.

This is the life

ITs been a while since I have posted..AGAIN! I need to get back in the swing of things. We have had an action packed few weeks since we have been in our new house. We are loving all the space, which we have already filled, and so far, we haven't missed city life for a minute. I still commute to the city a few days a week so make my favorite local stops every now and then. Right now I am working from the Starbucks near our old house. I didn't have any reason to physically go into the hospital today and Hadley is at the old neighbors house with the nanny. We are slowly trying to figure out what we are going to do there, but for now, I bring her to the city a few days a week so she can play with Yay Yay, Mac and Maymay... Not sure why most things have two syllables but they do. We spent the week following Labor Day at the week and had a blast since 6 of Price's highschool friends, wives, and kids were all down at Rehoboth too. SOOo much fun! Then we have enjoyed boating in Annapolis now that Price's brother moved his boat to a yacht club near the new house. We are LOVING the boating community of Annapolis. This past weekend my mom and I made a trip to Lancaster to buy mulch and some shrubs since the yard is still in need or major help! We worked for hours ripping out weeds, vines, etc. Then Price's mom was up for the rest of the weekend and she and I did nursery shoppimg AGAIN and bought LOTS more. The house now looks great when you come up to it. WE even got our new grass seed which we will put down next weekend. All the fun new stuff we are learning! Anyway, I have posted some pics from the past few weeks.

So...we have finally moved. My office too so I am surrounding by boxes, clutter, disorganization, etc. Our house in Annapolis is coming together nicely and Kali and Hadley are adjusting well. Kali took more time than Hadley. Here are a few pictures of the new abode.

TGIF

Kali is TOTALLY over it. She has been somewhat depressed. :(

Shea and Hadley playing in a giant box. "Say Cheese!"

Finished the railing to go by the back steps.

Basement Progress

Where Price wants his bar, kegerator and lord knows what else...

Thank goodness its Friday but...yes, we are still in Baltimore City. The house is becoming worse and worse by the day! Not to mention, it doesn't help that its like 100 degrees every day. We can barely walk anywhere without knocking something over, touching another person...or a box. Getting out of dodge for the weekend so that we can sleep WITHOUT boxes. The move is currently scheduled to take place Wednesday into Thursday. They will load the truck up Wednesday night and deliver Thursday morning. Price has been making many trips to the house to see the progress and make sure they are working hard! A few pics from the week.
