We had quite an exciting weekend this past weekend. Started off with Hadley coming down with her first stomach bug...(boy was that fun!) that followed by her FOR REAL walking (she must have felt lighter...she has been taking steps for some time now but not really walking) which was then followed by 22 inches of snow...it was an exciting weekend! Here are a few pics from the weekend after the illness of course!

I just attached a few pictures of Hadley in her Christmas dress. She took off her patent leather shoes. They must not be so comfy. Anyway, the chair she is in was My Grandmothers, then mothers, then mine and now Hadley can use it. Enjoy! She is holding Grammy Brown's bear from when she was little in one of them.

This is just Hadley this morning all dressed up to sit on Santa's lap at daycare. I must admit, I am NOT sad that I won't have to stand in the terrible lines at the mall with 7 million other children this holiday season. Is that bad?? Here is Hadley this morning.

Have not posted in a while. For Thanksgiving we flew across the country to go visit Jason, Julie and Avery Kawejsza. We had such an awesome visit in Santa Monica. Hadley is a great little flyer. This was her 3 trip on a plane in her first year. So exciting! Anyway...attached are some pictures of our trip.

We had a WONDERFUL 1st birthday celebration for Hadley at Rehoboth with close family and a few friends. It was a great weekend. Weather was perfect and Hadley got WAY too many gifts. I put a few things aside to save for Christmas. Don't tell her! All grandparents were present as well as both uncles, cousins and her one aunt. We did crabcakes and cupcakes as the theme so mom and I baked many cupcakes all weekend as well as her actual bday cake which was a jumbo cupcake. The hit present of the party was Rody the bouncing "donkey"..horse. He is actually a horse but we all think he looks like a donkey and like that better! She was in complete hysterics. It is a FABULOUS present for anyone looking for a gift for a one or 2-4 year old! Too funny. Anway, I have posted some pics from the weekend. Enjoy!

Ah...I LOVE the fall! The weather has been awesome (despite the fact that it has decided to rain every Saturday that we haven't had plans) but...loving the cool weather, the changing leaves, football, apples, all the fun stuff that goes along with fall. Hadley is at such a fun age right now! The big 1-0 is in less than 2 weeks. I cannot believe it. We went to NOVA this past weekend for a baby shower and took Hadley to Cox's. She was NOT a fan of the pumpkins! Very strange I Know but man is she going to really fear Santa. We did get some great pictures so I thought I would share some. I also took one of her in her new winter coat. She wore it to the Farmers Market last weekend cuz it was really chilly. I love it! Then..the best photo shoot was with Larry Jennings. He is also going to be a chicken for Halloween so for the parents enjoyment we dressed them up and laughed hysterically. ENJOY!

Price and I made the journey down 81, just like we did 15 million times during college to visit his Grandmother who turned 97 years old on Friday. What a remarkable lady! She did say that Hadley had about 100 years to go to catch her. CRAZY! We then stayed with our good friends Dan and Kelsey Yardley and got to meet Baby Wynn. What a cute and SOOOO GOOD baby! He didn't cry the whole weekend. The boys got to enjoy the day Saturday for VT homecoming and watched the Hokies kick some BC butt. Sunday morning Price and I headed back up 81 and stopped in Harrisonburg for some Daves Taverna. MAN is it fabulous!!! Haven't had that bruschetta in a long time and its just as I rememberd it. Also discovered that if you buy beer at Daves Express (now located in a different gas station) a 12 pack of Magic Hat is only $11. Its the most expensive beer in the cooler and it was only $11. I think at home I pay $18. Ha. Should have stocked up. Anyway...we had a great weekend. Leaves are starting to change so the drive was very pretty. I have a few pics from our travels. FINALLY this weekend we will be home for the first time in I feel like 2 mos. Will be nice to get sweaters out, and just lay low. I can't wait!

So Hadley started the dreaded daycare two weeks ago. I was a complete disaster that day but seem to have myself together now. It was an interesting transition since she went Mon, Tues, and Wednesday and then we got a call to come pick her up Thursday because she was running a fever. This was her first fever and first real sickness. WAS NOT FUN! But..we all survived. She started out with lots of congestion, that then turned into an ear infection which caused some unpleasant stuff down below! She was not able to go to daycare all last week so she got to come back to work with me. So..she started AGAIN this past Monday. We have been at the beach the past 2 weekends and had some wonderful times with family and friends. Daycare also did do professional pictures on Hadley's second day there so I scanned the proofs and will post. They are quite funny. I will order a package just so I have her first "school pictures" but I can only order one pose so enjoy these. Quality not so great but you get the idea. We will head to Roanoke this weekend to see Hadley's Great Granny who turns 97 on Friday and then Price and Dan Yardley will go the the VT game. Should be another fun weekend.

Daycare!

So...we had a very fun filled last weekend before Hadley started daycare yesterday. I have posted a few pics of her getting into the toilet paper, Redskins game, Hokie game, and then...my first official piece of artwork from daycare. Gami Booker came up on Saturday to stay with us and watch Hadley while we went to the Skins game. The weather could not have been any more perfect. Then.....Monday morning came. I thought I was going to be ok but I turned into an emotional disaster. Price had to take Hadley to daycare....I did get myself together finally and was so excited to pick her up. She did great. Was def. off schedule but she will survive and she did survive. Better than me! I got my first piece of official artwork. Apparently this week they are learning about their hands and feet. I took a picture to share! Hope everyone has a great week. This week I head to the beach with some of my college girlfriends and I can't wait.
