We had a busy busy weekend. Went to an outdoor concert and dinner with friends and both kids on Friday night. It was a blast. Then Sat. Gami and CharChar came up for weekend. They were wonderful and watched both kids while Price and I escaped for a few hours. We went to a nice wine bar and REALLY enjoyed our time as adults! We even sat at the bar! Haven't done that in ages. Sunday, Fathers Day, the Brown's came up and Price and PopPop golfed. The ladies, and Zach, walked around Annapolis and then went to lunch. We then made a great dinner for the whole crew of crabcakes, filet, fresh beans from market and rosemary garlic potatoes. The time was enjoyed by everyone. A few more things from the past few weeks. This past weekend we attended the Strawberry Festival that is held every year in our neighborhood. It was quite a big event and was down on the beach and surrounding area. Hadley LOVED the "fair" but Mommy and Daddy thought it brought out some of the areas finest! We survived the heat for a bit until Zach had a meltdown which was a perfect way to get her to leave. Monday was also a big day. Hadley started her first day camp. It is Jungle Safari theme. Since my daughter doesn't have a shy bone in her body, she would have walked herself there alone. She had a great time. She will go M,W,F from 9-1 for the next two weeks. It is a nice break for all of us. I am loving the stay at home mom role for the summer, but it is necessary to come up with things to entertain a toddler.

Storytime!

So we are now approaching 3 weeks at home with our little man. Things are going pretty well with a few minor hiccups. We FINALLY were able to turn in the bili blanket that was deilvered to our home last Tuesday. Zach's jaundice was much better so we were able to be without the blanket. Hadley did wake up Tuesday am last week with stuffiness and slight fever. She has had a fairly bad cold so I have been a WRECK (its hopeless now) trying to keep her away from her "baby broder" and using more antibacterial wipes and squirt than ever before. My hands feel like they are going to peel off. Z did get a little stuffy but seems to be doing ok. We have had a few battles as big sis adjusts to her NOT solo role anymore. She has been doing the complete opposite of what we ask as well as throwing some major fits. I guess its all to be expected. The good news is she is still sleeping great. WE have had some battles when we exit her room at night. If we didn't have the gate in her door she would NEVER go to bed. So thank god for that! Best thing we ever did. Anyway..I will post a few pics. I need to download some more off the camera so will do that tonight but here are some others.

Welcome Zachary Evans Booker

We welcomed Zachary Evans Booker into our family on May 26th at 5:58pm. He weighed 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. The whole Booker family is adjusting well. Last week we have had a fair amount of sleepless nights (NOT Hadley thank god) and I was FINALLY feeling myself yesterday. Our little peanut is adorable and Hadley is LOVING being a big sister. She is EVERYWHERE I am when tending to him, diapers, feeding, etc. Kali hasn't paid him any mind. I think she is annoyed she has been displaced once again. I had a BRUTAL labor this time around but uneventful delivery. I have decided that this is a better order than my last which was BRUTAL Delivery and labor was fine. I was back on my feet cooking dinner when we got home on Saturday. Took me a few weeks last time around.
